Matrimony Solitaire is a strategic card game where the goal is to move every card onto 8 foundations. The game opens with a special setup: the Queen of Diamonds and the Jack of Diamonds are pulled from the deck to start 2 of the foundations, and then 16 cards are dealt onto the tableau piles.
The foundation that begins with the Queen of Diamonds builds upward in suit, wrapping from King back to Ace when needed. The remaining foundations build downward in suit, wrapping from Ace around to King.
The top card of a tableau pile can only be moved to a foundation, so each move needs careful thought. Whenever you need more cards in play, you can deal additional ones from the stock pile onto the tableau.
Once the stock has been fully dealt, you get up to 16 redeals of the tableau cards. For the first redeal, take all the cards from the last pile and deal them out one at a time from left to right. Start with the last pile, then move on to the 1st, the 2nd, and so on. The next redeal works the same way, but with the cards from the second-to-last tableau pile, and each following redeal continues in that pattern.
